/ ABOUT
As part of Material and Processes, the project brief was to design a cutlery set i.e a spoon, fork and knife set, using the processes of sand-casting followed with electroplating.
We started off with sketching concepts and paper prototyping. The final design was made to scale in wood and polystyrene which would serve as the pattern for sand-casting.
We worked with a small manufacturing facility to get the pieces sand casted. After rigorous surface refining and sanding we had the pieces buffed and electroplated.

/ ABOUT
Taking the same triangular geometry we had defined for the cutlery handles, we devised a packaging for the cutlery. We drew and cut out a pattern which was folded into the final box. Final touches were added with a window and the branding with silver vinyl cut-outs.
